Family Rescues Baby Calf And Now She Thinks She's a Dog

When Hurricane Harvey hit southeast Texas, many stepped up to the plate and restored faith in humanity. Wheither is was helping others through the flooded waters, donating food, or even giving shelter, many helped out. Yet some people went the extra mile.

Tammy and Ren Canton opened their home and although crowded, and with already two families staying there, adopted a baby calf. Yup, you read that right... they saw a baby calf who had been abandoned by its mother, shivering in the flood waters. What else was there to do other than take it in. And that is exactly what they did. They named the rescued calf Harveigh, bought her some formula from a feed store, and then she became part of the family! Even acting just like her dog brother and sisters!

The family actually already have several cows on their property, but said raising a newborn calf “was a whole new experience”.

We totally believe them! The baby calf was more comfortable with the Carton's family dgs rather than the cows. The Cantons said "I don't think they realize that she is a cow and not just a really big dog. Truthfully, I don't think Harveigh sees herself any different from the dogs".

So as a way to let Harveigh adapt better to the outside and to other cows, they decided to built built her a 'cow condo'!

She usually tries to sneak back into the main house to be with her fellow dog brothers and sisters!
